Vernon Hills Park District: Grosse Pointe Park Fitness Station Removal

Due to the Park District’s new lease agreement with ComEd, the fitness stations under the power lines right of way (ROW) at Grosse Pointe Park must be removed by October 1, 2021. The fitness equipment cannot be relocated due to its age and the unavailability of replacement parts. The Park District may replace the 5-12 year old playground, located next to the basketball courts, with fitness equipment for 13+ years. The District has scheduled this playground replacement to be completed in late 2022.
