Jimena Resendiz of Vernon Hills graduated magna cum laude from Lake Forest College with a bachelor of arts degree. She was among 323 students to receive a diploma during the school's ceremony May 11 at Ravinia Festival Park.
Resendiz also received the Grace Elizabeth Groner Foundation National Service Award.
