Vernon Township Food Pantry Joins Buffalo Grove Farmers Market
Area residents can help support families in need who utilize the Township Food Pantry while shopping for fresh produce at the market.

The Vernon Township Food Pantry is excited to announce it will be featured at the non-profit table at the Buffalo Grove Farmers Market, located in Mike Rylko Park, 951 McHenry Road in Buffalo Grove, on Sunday, September 29 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This weekly event will provide an opportunity for local residents to support Township families in need who utilize the Township Food Pantry, by choosing to donate fresh produce offered at the Farmers Market.
Community members are invited to stop by the Township Food Pantry table to learn more about how it serves the community. Visitors are also encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations to the Farmers Market on this day to help stock the pantry’s shelves.
"We're thrilled to connect with the community at the Buffalo Grove Farmers Market to help residents learn more about how the Township serves our neighbors in need," said Vernon Township Supervisor Tim Kobler. "We are hopeful that our neighbors who are able, can bring donations to the market with them, or purchase fresh produce at the market to ensure we can help any individual or family in need."
