• McHenry home damaged in fire (shawlocal.com) — Wauconda firefighters were among several area departments called to help battle a Monday afternoon house fire in McHenry that left the home uninhabitable but caused no injuries. Crews quickly attacked flames on the side and in the attic, and the cause remains under investigation. The Salvation Army also supported firefighters on scene.
