$7K Raise Likely For Western Springs Official

Her proposed contract also includes a $667-a-month car allowance.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs Village Manager Ellen Baer is likely to get an over $7,000 raise.

Under an amendment to her contract, Baer is also expected to receive a $667 monthly car allowance instead of using a village car.

At its meeting Monday, the Village Board is set to vote on changes to Baer's contract. It is retroactive to her anniversary date in September.

The proposed agreement calls for increasing Baer's pay to $184,713, from $177,172.

Baer is also set to receive $9,000 in deferred compensation, putting her total package at $193,713.

In 2021, Baer's salary started at $165,000. She received a 3 percent increase a year later, to $169,950.

Before becoming manager, Baer was the village's director of administrative services for four years.

Her manager's contract expires in May 2025, following the village election.
