Adopt a Western Springs Cop for Illinois Special Olympics

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL - Members of the Western Springs Police Department will join 80,000 law enforcement officers in 50 states and 32 counties in carrying the Special Olympics flame, the department said.

The department is asking residents to adopt a cop and make a donation to the Torch Run of the Special Olympics. According to the department, this is the only solicitation that members of the Western Springs Police Department participate in and all of your donation goes directly to fund the athletic programs.

The Western Springs leg of the Torch Run will start at 9 a.m. Sunday, June 4, from the Tower Green in the 900 block of Hillgrove Avenue.
