WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – A company that owns several restaurant brands had planned to replace its eatery in Western Springs.
But the firm dropped the plan last week, according to the village government.
In response to a Patch inquiry, the village said Davanti Enoteca, an Italian restaurant at 800 Hilgrove Ave., is staying, despite an earlier plan to replace it with Vasili's restaurant. Vasili's now has a location in Naperville, serving Mediterranean food.
Bensenville-based Scott Harris Hospitality owns both Davanti and Vasili's.
A week ago, Western Springs received a notice that the planned remodeling of Davanti's space had been canceled and that Davanti would remain, village spokesperson Selmin Cicek said.
Davanti is also in Naperville.
Besides Davanti and Vasili's, Scott Harris Hospitality owns Mio Modo in St. Charles, Disotto in Highwood, Francesca's Fiore in Forest Park, Vinny's in Tinley Park and Francesca's, which has 14 locations in the Chicago area.
