Another Protest Set For Western Springs
Black Lives Matter demonstrators are expected to march through town and then listen to speakers.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — A second major Black Lives Matter demonstration is being planned for Western Springs, the village announced Tuesday. The event is set for 4 p.m. Thursday at Ridge Acres Park, 4621 Harvey Ave.
The plan is for participants to walk south on Harvey Avenue, east on 47th Street and south on Willow Springs Road, ending in the 4900 block of Willow Springs, the village said. At the end of the route, there will be speakers, who will close the event at an undetermined time, according to the village. Road closures may happen along the way.
"The organizers continue to work with the Western Springs Police Department in ensuring this event is safe for all involved parties," the village said.
