Anti-Trump Protest Planned In Western Springs
Congressional candidate is expected to attend event.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — Supporters of impeaching President Donald Trump plan to protest the president Tuesday evening at Tower Green, 914 Hillgrove Ave., across from the Metra station, north of the tracks, between Grand and Lawn avenues, according to a news release.
The group is taking part in a national movement pushing Congress to impeach Trump, who is accused of using military aid to pressure Ukraine to interfere in the 2020 election. Expected to attend the rally will be 3rd Congressional District candidate Marie Newman, who is facing U.S. Rep. Dan Lipinski, D-Western Springs, in next March's Democratic primary.
Participants are expected to meet on the sidewalk in front of the Tower Green at 5:30 p.m. They are encouraged to bring signs and noisemakers. The protest is being organized by Indivisible, a movement that formed in the wake of Trump's election.
