Arrest Made Of Man Accused Of Stealing From Cars Parked At Gym
Police in Western Springs say Anthony Pelini came into the Elite Fitness Gym and stole two keys that were left unattended.
WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — Western Springs police arrested a man they say entered a fitness center earlier this month and stole car keys from two members and used them to enter cars parked there and remove valuables.
Anthony Pelini, 48, of Matteson was arrested on July 19 for the incident police say occurred at 8:57 a.m. on July 12 at the Elite Fitness Gym on Burlington Avenue. He's accused of coming into the gym and taking two car keys that were left unattended by members and entering the cars to complete the thefts.
An investigation led police to Pelini, they said.

Pelini faces two felony charges for burglary to motor vehicle and two misdemeanor charges for theft. Bond was set at $5,000 in Cook County 5th District Court.
