Attempted Burglary, Theft: Western Springs Blotter

The following items were taken from the Western Springs police blotter throughout the past week. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Attempted Residential Burglary

• Unknown suspect tried to use a pry tool to force entry into a residence in the 3800 block of Forest Avenue sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. June 13.

Theft

• A black cast iron planter was stolen from the 3900 block of Clausen sometime between overnight on June 13 and 6:30 a.m. June 14.

Warrant

• Thomas Malloy, 48, Downers Grove, was arrested at 10:56 a.m. June 14 in the 700 block of Hillgrove for an outstanding warrant out of DuPage County.
