Bike Stolen From Rack Outside Mariano's: Police Blotter

The following information is from the Western Springs Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Theft – Over $500

A complainant outside Mariano's, 4700 Gilbert Ave. reported that sometime between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Aug. 22, an unknown person(s) took their bicycle that was at the bike rack unlocked without permission.

Possession Of Cannabis

Two 15-year-old boys were charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia at Lyons Township High School in separate incidents, one reported on Aug. 29 and the other on Aug. 30.

Retail Theft

Ross M. Swedowski, 26, of Woodridge was charged with retail theft after leaving the Walgreens store at 4700 Gilbert Ave. with several unpaid items at 2 p.m. on Aug. 30.
