Heads in the Clouds and Hearts for Mission
A slideshow of a PCWS balloon launch and an invitation to participate in community service work June 10.
Last Sunday, PCWS launched its Prayer Cloud. This is a program for adults and children to connect through prayer. It was a gorgeous day and perfect for gathering on the PCWS lawn to kick-off the program. The children carried bunches of balloons outside and then launched them into the sky, knowing that adults in the congregation would be keeping them in their prayers. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed cotton candy, lemonade and other treats. Check out the slideshow of photos…
This Sunday, we’re looking forward to a different kind of worship experience. It’s Jesus Has Left the Building…and We’re Going With Him!
We’ll be having a brief worship service at 9:30am, then the congregation will move on to community service activities at PCWS or in the community. You are invited to join us!

LOCAL PROJECTS:
Yard Work: Enjoy the outdoors and help one of our older members spruce up their yard for summer. The time commitment is 90 minutes.
Aluminum Can Hunt: Take a walk to collect aluminum cans and return them to PCWS for crushing and recycling. This is a 60 minute time commitment.
OFF-SITE PROJECT:
Cook and Serve for Manna Ministries: Help prepare and serve Sunday lunch at one of two locations run by Breakthrough Urban Ministries in the Garfield Park neighborhood---The Joshua Center for Women at 3330 W Carroll Ave. or the Ministry Center (Men’s Shelter) at 402 North St. Louis Ave. The time commitment is 3 hours.
Jesus Has Left the Building…and We’re Going With Him! is a great new program launching this Sunday and we welcome everyone to join us. If you would like to stay close to home and spend just a bit of time, choose a service project at PCWS. If you prefer the outdoors, head out to do some gardening or can finding. If you have more time and want to reach out to people through Manna Ministries, please consider joining us for that.
If you have any questions, please contact the PCWS church office at 708-246-5220 or check out the web site at www.presbyws.org.
