Broken Window, Identity Theft: Western Springs Cops
A window on a piece of construction equipment was broken in the village, report says.
WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — Western Springs police released their latest blotter Monday. Here is information from the reports:
Broken window
- A window on a parked excavator was reported broken Saturday at Johnson and Burlington avenues. The equipment was being used as part of a railroad construction project.

- A resident in the 5200 block of Howard Avenue on Thursday wrote a check for $198 to a person who fraudulently claimed to be with Chase Bank.
Driving violations
- Joshua T. Franklin, 24, of Baton Route, Louisiana, was cited about 9 p.m. July 26 at 55th Street and Laurel Avenue on charges of driving with a suspended license and speeding. He was released on bond.
- Alejandro Llanos-Davalos, was cited about 5 a.m. Thursday at Wolf Road and 51st Street on charges of driving with a suspended license and no tail lights. He was released on bond.

- A resident in the 3900 block of Lawn Avenue told police Tuesday that her vehicle's passenger side mirror was damaged at an unknown time and location.
