referrals, recommendations, or internal connections. This means
that who you know—and who knows your skills, strengths, and
value—can play a major role in your career journey. For job seekers,
networking is often just as important as having a strong resume.
While skills and experience are essential, relationships can create
opportunities, provide guidance, and help you stand out in a
competitive job market.

Our speaker, Audrey Southard, has been in the HR profession for
over 30 years. She has led HR teams as SVP at Follett and now
owns her own consulting business specializing in HR support for
multiple organizations. Audrey also provides Executive Coaching to
business executives. Audrey serves on the Advisory Board for
Goodwin Inc., a chemical solutions manufacturer based in Garden
Grove, California.
