Car Burglaries, Battery: Western Springs Arrests

The following information is from the Western Springs Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Oct. 21

• Someone attempted to gain access to a home in the 3900 block of Lawn at 7:46 a.m.
• Someone broke the passenger side window of a car at Spring Rock Park at 11:49 a.m. Credit cards, ID, checks and cash were stolen from the car.
• Someone broke the driver side window of a car at Spring Rock Park at 12:02 p.m. at stole IDs, credit cards, checks, a purse and cash.

Oct. 22

• A 14-year-old from La Grange was arrested at LTHS, 4900 Gilbert Ave., at 1:49 p.m. for being in possession of a vaping device and in possession of less than 10 grams of cannabis.
• Camerino Chavez, 66, of La Grange Park, was arrested at 4:01 p.m. at 42nd Street and Wolf Road for not having a driver's license and no insurance after he disobeyed the railroad crossing.

Oct. 24

• A 14-year-old from Countryside was arrested at LTHS, 4900 Gilbert Ave., at 8:50 a.m. for being a minor in possession of a vaping device.

Oct. 25

• A 14-year-old from Hodgkins was arrested at 7:26 a.m. at LTHS, 4900 Gilbert Ave., for battery after being involved in a fight.
• A 14-year-old from La Grange Park was arrested at 12:30 p.m. at LTHS, 4900 Gilbert Ave., for being a minor in possession of a vaping device.
