Car Burglaries, Battery: Western Springs Arrests
Western Springs Police reports for the week of Oct. 21.

The following information is from the Western Springs Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.
Oct. 21
- Someone attempted to gain access to a home in the 3900 block of Lawn at 7:46 a.m.
- Someone broke the passenger side window of a car at Spring Rock Park at 11:49 a.m. Credit cards, ID, checks and cash were stolen from the car.
- Someone broke the driver side window of a car at Spring Rock Park at 12:02 p.m. at stole IDs, credit cards, checks, a purse and cash.

- A 14-year-old from La Grange was arrested at LTHS, 4900 Gilbert Ave., at 1:49 p.m. for being in possession of a vaping device and in possession of less than 10 grams of cannabis.
- Camerino Chavez, 66, of La Grange Park, was arrested at 4:01 p.m. at 42nd Street and Wolf Road for not having a driver's license and no insurance after he disobeyed the railroad crossing.
Oct. 24
- A 14-year-old from Countryside was arrested at LTHS, 4900 Gilbert Ave., at 8:50 a.m. for being a minor in possession of a vaping device.

- A 14-year-old from Hodgkins was arrested at 7:26 a.m. at LTHS, 4900 Gilbert Ave., for battery after being involved in a fight.
- A 14-year-old from La Grange Park was arrested at 12:30 p.m. at LTHS, 4900 Gilbert Ave., for being a minor in possession of a vaping device.
