Car Burglar Nabbed Rummaging Through Cars: Police
Round Lake man was spotted entering cars parked on people's driveways, Western Springs police said.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL -- Police arrested a man after he was caught allegedly rummaging through cars in Western Springs. Earl Anthony Fry, 57, of Round Lake, was charged with two felony counts of burglary to motor vehicle.
According to the charges, officers observed a suspicious male, later identified as Fry, around 3:50 a.m. April 1, going through two vehicles parked in a driveway in the 3900 block of Franklin Avenue in Western Springs. Fry was confronted and questioned by police. He was subsequently taken into custody at the scene without incident. Police found Fry's vehicle hours later parked a few blocks away from where the purported car burglaries occurred.
Fry appeared before Cook County Judge John Mahoney on April 2, where bail was set at $10,000.
