Car Burglaries, Shoplifting: Western Springs Blotter

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — The Western Springs Police Department released its latest blotter Monday morning:

• A suspect removed three cases of alcohol from Mariano's grocery store, 700 Gilbert Ave., without paying for them about 11 a.m. Dec. 30. The stolen items were valued at $1,550.
• Two suspects removed several boxes of medication from Walgreens, 4700 Gilbert Ave., without paying for them about 5 p.m. Dec. 31. The items were valued between $150 to $300.
• An unlocked car in the 1000 block of Hickory Drive was reported burglarized about 6 a.m. Jan. 3. A garage door opener was stolen.
• Two unlocked cars in the 1000 block of Hickory Drive were reported burglarized about 6:30 a.m. Jan. 3. A garage door opener was stolen from one car and some loose change was stolen from the other.
