Car Stolen, Armed Robbery: Western Springs Police Reports

The following information is from the Western Springs Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Theft Of Motor Vehicle

• An unknown person ransacked a car and stole another sometime between 8 p.m. May 6 and 6:45 a.m. May 7 in the 4200 block of Harvey Avenue. The cars were unlocked in the driveway and keys were left inside the stolen car.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

• An unknown person went through the victim's car sometime overnight between May 6 and May 7 in the 4200 block of Linden Avenue.

Armed Robbery

• Andrew Hester, 30, of Chicago; and Matthew Cargo, 23, of Chicago; were arrested at 2:26 p.m. May 9 in the 0-100 block of Ogden for armed robbery. Cargo displayed a handgun and demanded victim's valuables while threatening them; while Hester also threatened victims and demanded their valuables. The robbery took place at M&H Auto Service Center.
