Chicago Woman Accused Of Biting and Spitting At Lyons Paramedic

Lyons police said 18-year-old was intoxicated and screaming in the middle of the street when they tried to take her to a hospital.

LYONS, IL -- A Chicago woman was arrested after she bit and spit at a Lyons paramedic, prosecutors said. Elana Sada, 18, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on charges of aggravated battery. Police reportedly found Sada in a highly inebriated state.

Around 2:10 a.m. Nov. 5, Lyons police responded to a report of a woman screaming in the middle of the street. Police said Sada appeared highly intoxicated so an ambulance was called. While on the gurney, the prosecutor said Sada spit at the paramedic, hitting him above the eye. She also bit the paramedic on the wrist, breaking the skin.

“She’s not even old enough to drink,” Felice said, before setting bail at $5,000.
