The cause of the fire isn't known yet, but no one was hurt in the fire.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — A garage was damaged after a fire on Monday, according to the Western Springs Department of Fire and EMS. The department received a call at 6:43 p.m. June 18 of a reported garage fire in the 4600 block of Johnson.

When the fire department arrived, firefighters reported a garage on fire with possible exposures to adjacent structures. The department said firefighters deployed an exterior fire attack due to the amount of fire. All exposures were also covered with water and checked to make sure that the fire hadn't extended.

Crews from Western Springs, Hinsdale and La Grange responded to the fire. Hinsdale and LaGrange were sent to the Wolf Road side of the fire to also control any possible exposure damage. The department said fire investigators from Hinsdale as well as the lead investigator from Western Springs began the investigation. The cause is undetermined at this time.
