Gun Stolen From Unlocked Car: Western Springs Cops
Unlocked vehicles targeted on same block in village. One is stolen.
WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — Western Springs police received reports of thieves targeting unlocked cars early Wednesday morning in the 5000 block of Woodland Avenue. In one case, a resident reported that a number of people were seen on camera going through unlocked cars. In one of the cars, a gun was removed. Also, on the same block, an unlocked car was stolen between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m.
Here are other recent reports from the Western Springs Police Department:
- Two 16-year-old boys were cited at 10:30 p.m. June 19 at Red Oak and Parkview drives on charges of being a minor in possession of alcohol.
- Michael S. Marinko, 31, of Hinsdale, was arrested shortly before 10 a.m. Monday at Ogden and Gilbert avenues on charges of DUI, improper lane usage, not having his driver's license and operation of an uninsured vehicle.
- The front tires of a car were slashed overnight June 19 in the 4200 block of Garden Avenue.
