House Hunt: The Five Houses For Sale Closest to 47th/Wolf
This week, homes that are near the other "center" of Western Springs; the town's major 90-degree-angle crosshair intersection.
If you happened to see the House Hunt published last Friday morning about homes on short-saleβer, sorry. In retrospect, while that information is public (and can be found at most major realtor websites), it was tactless of us to publicize and spotlight specific cases of what frequently signals financial misfortune. We've yanked the article, and apologies to anyone affected.
So, instead, we'll opt this week for with a House Hunt on a purely location-driven theme. Some might call the "center" of Western Springs the intersection of Hillgrove Avenue/Burlington Avenue and Wolf Roadβand βbut others might say it's where 47th Street meets Wolf Road, the only traffic-lit crosshair intersection in town where all four street corners are in Western Springs.
Notably, it's also a "Four Corners" location... each corner of the intersection is in a different neighborhood. Old Town South lies to the northwest, Ridge Acres to the northeast, Fairview Estates to the southeast and Forest Hills to the southwest.
