Kids' Choir Starts Thursday!
Calling all singers in grades K-6! Rehearsals for Bethlehem Choir start Thursday, Oct 3. Check out the info below to learn how to join the choir!
Do your children love music? They are invited to "make a joyful noise unto the Lord" as the Presbyterian Church of Western Springs children's choir starts a new musical year this Thursday. Our Bethlehem Choir is open to boys and girls kindergarten-age and up. (Most of our singers fall in the K-6th grade range.) The group rehearses on Thursdays from 5:30-6:15pm at PCWS (5250 Wolf Road) and your kids are welcome to join the choir. At rehearsals, the children sing, play musical games, sometimes choreograph dances to go with their music, learn the history behind their music and have fun together. They sing as a group, with opportunities for solo performances and lots of creativity in their presentations. Bethlehem Choir sings in Sunday worship roughly once per month. Bethlehem Choir isn't just for members of PCWS; the group is open to the community as well. Seekers' Class this Sunday, October 6
We're holding a Seekers' Class on October 6 at 10:45am in the Graham Charter Room and all are invited to attend. Seekers' Classes are informal gatherings where PCWS members and new friends can learn more about PCWS and the Presbyterian faith, ask questions about life at PCWS, meet church leaders, and become a member, if they feel ready. If you are interested in learning more about PCWS and how you can get involved in our activities and educational opportunities, please join us for this casual, fun get-together. The class usually lasts less than an hour and child care can be arranged.
