Local Church To Host Festival, Carnival In Western Springs

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — St. John of the Cross Parish will hold its SJC festival from Thursday, June 22, until Sunday, June 25. The fest will feature a carnival, live bands, food vendors, a beer tent and much more.

According to the event's website, the carnival will be open:

• Thursday, June 22, 5 to 10:30 p.m.
• Friday, June 23, 5 p.m. to midnight
• Saturday, June 24, 2 p.m. to midnight
• Sunday, June 25, noon to 7 p.m.

The carnival will feature a tilt-a-whirl, a Wet Boat, Starship 300, and many more rides.

According to the website, local bands will also be performing each night. On Thursday, the headliner will be Chicago Tribute Anthology, playing from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Friday will feature Maggie Speaks as the headliner from 8 to 11 p.m. The Breakfast Club will be the headliner on Saturday from 8 to 11 p.m. Lastly, The Tony Ocean Show will headline on Sunday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

SJC fest will be held at the parish at 5005 South Wolf Road, in Western Springs.
