Longtime Western Springs Officer Retires
Police department veteran is taking retiring officer's job.
WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — Western Springs police Sgt. Tony Jemison, who was promoted to his rank in July, retired Friday, according to a village news release. He was with the police department for 21 years.
Jemison is being replaced by Sgt. Arthur Hull, who was promoted Tuesday. He has been with the village and the police department for 22 years.
Jemison was a certified evidence technician, breathalyzer operator and defensive tactics instructor. He is a graduate of Triton College with an associate's degree in criminal justice administration and has completed Northwestern University's Center for Public Safety Supervision of Police Personnel course.

Hull has held a variety of assignments, including patrol, school resource officer, detective and field training officer. He is nearing completion of a bachelor's degree in criminal justice.
