Lost Wallet In Western Springs

Police are trying to find owner of a black leather bi-fold wallet.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — A resident turned in a lost wallet to the Western Springs Police Department this week after trying to find the owner through the neighborhood's social media pages.

The black leather bi-fold wallet was found in the area of 51st Street and Grand Avenue on Tuesday, police said. Several items were in the wallet but no ID.

"If this wallet belongs to you and you can accurately describe its contents, please let us know and we will reunite the two of you," the police department said in a Facebook post. "When lost property is turned in to the police department, we make every effort to reunite the owner with his or her items. Before claiming or auctioning off property, we try again to make contact with the owner."
