LT to collect donations for veterans
LT Future Healthcare Professionals Club taking donations for care packages for vets through November 11th.
The Lyons Township High School Future Healthcare Professionals Club is sending care packages to veterans with the assistance of the Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital in honor of Veteran’s Day and needs help filling them. Below is a wish list of items that are needed. Donations may be dropped off in the designated boxes at either the North Campus or South Campus Main Office no later than 3pm on Veteran’s Day, Friday, November 11.
The following items are needed for the care packages:
- Alcohol free aftershave
- Alcohol free mouthwash
- Chapstick or lip balm
- Combs
- Crossword puzzle books
- Decaf coffee, cream, sugar, etc.
- Denture adhesive
- Denture cleaner (tablets)
- Deodorant
- Disposable razors
- Word-find books
- Hand & body lotion
- Hand held mirrors
- Magnifying glasses
- Nail clippers
- New undershirts (L, XL, XXL, +)
- New underwear (L, XL, XXL, +)
- New white socks
- Playing cards
- Pocket size tissue
- Shampoo
- Shaving cream
- Sweatpants (L, XL, XXL, +)
- Sweatshirts (L, XL, XXL, +)
- Sudoku books
- Toothbrush
- Toothpaste
- New winter gloves
