LT hosts student leadership summit

All 16 schools in the West Suburban Conference attended

Lyons Township High School recently hosted the sixth annual West Suburban Conference Leadership Summit. All 16 conference schools participated in the annual, day-long event. The purpose of the summit is to enhance the leadership skills of each school's top leaders and encourage them to implement what they learn into their clubs and sports.

In total, more than 500 students participated in the summit. Some of the session topics included civility, communication and leadership. The summit is largely student run, with high schoolers delivering much of the content. Leaders were also trained by Deb and Dana Hult of Core Trainings training students on how to prepare their fellow students to become better leaders.

Students created a video at the summit, entitled The Quest. Watch the video on Vimeo at https://vimeo.com/190102662

"This is truly a great program," said LTHS Director of Student Activities Peter Geddeis. "It provides tremendous opportunities to help build leadership among all students in each of the conference schools."
