Congratulations to Lyons Township High School Fishing Club member senior Zach Hughes, of LaGrange Park, for winning the May 6 IHSA Bass Fishing Sectional and qualifying for the State Championships. Hughes and fellow fisherman sophomore Casey VanSpankeren, of Western Springs, were at the Busse Woods Reservoir competing against 11 other schools and a total of 17 boats. Hughes caught a total of four bass totaling 9lbs 2 oz., winning the Sectional meet and qualifying for State. The Fishing Club is coached by Scott Walker.
