LT students dive into Italian sports

Lyons Township High School students in Italian II recently took a fieldtrip to the Italian American Sports Hall of Fame. They completed a unit on Italian sports and sporting culture in Italy then visited the Hall of Fame to gain a better understanding of the contributions Italian Americans have had on the world of sports in the United States. They had a tour by its founder, who spoke of the impact that many of the inductees have had, including Louis Zamperini, who inspired the film Unbroken. The students then lunched at Eataly, a true Italian culinary experience.
