LT yearbook students win national recognition

Members of the Lyons Township High School Tabulae yearbook staff recently attended the annual spring convention of the National Scholastic Press Association and the Journalism Education Association in Los Angeles, California. The convention allows for the TAB yearbook to be judged and critiqued on-site by expert adjudicators. Students had the opportunity to attend seminars hosted by journalism professionals, as well as participate in individual write-off competitions. The students competed in writing, photography and design contests. Students, who will serve as next year’s leaders, attended the convention to help prepare for next year’s edition in planning, organization, inspiration and reflection.

Nearly 1,200 students participated in the write-off competitions. LT’s convention contest results are below:
