LTHS business students qualify for national competition

Students head to Boston in May

Congratulations are in order for the Lyons Township High School Business Professionals of America (BPA) Club. Students recently competed in statewide contests and five students qualified to compete at the national level in seven different categories. In total, LT’s BPA Club earned 19 top-10 finishes at the state competition.

In addition to individual qualifiers, several teams also finished well, including two 3-person Administrative Support Teams, a 4-person Global Marketing Team and a 6-person Parliamentary Procedure Team.

The BPA national competitions will be held May 5-8 in Boston. The students are led and coached by Global Studies teachers Julie Bryar-Smith and Krista Wilcox.
