Memorial Day Parade Held In Western Springs

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — Western Springs will hold its annual Memorial Day parade at 10 a.m., Monday, May 29. The VFW Post 10778 invites all residents to the parade that starts at Hillgrove Avenue and Hampton.

According to a release, the parade then heads east to north on Grand Avenue, east on Chestnut, south on Lawn and ends at Tower Green.

All non-political community organizations and scout units are invited to march, according to a release. The lineup will begin at 9:30 a.m.

Bands from local schools will be marching and a brief ceremony will be held at the Tower Green following the parade.
