Entrepreneur Camp to be Hosted at Western Springs Art Studio

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL - Doodle Art & Design in Western Springs will hold a Micro Mini Biz Entrepreneur Camp and Sidewalk Sale from Aug. 8 to Aug. 17. The sidewalk sale will take place on Aug. 17 from 2 to 6 p.m.

Kathleen Thometz, the owner of Doodle Art & Design, has created a two-week entrepreneur camp at her Western Springs studio.

Thometz said during the first week of camp she will cover all of the aspects of business ownership from paying rent to obtaining insurance. Each little business owner will be given a miniature shop, and everyone will work to come up with their own concept, pricing and marketing plans. Each business owner will design, paint and build the interior, customize the front doors, and create the exterior of her shop.

During the second week of camp, Thometz said each business owner will make the merchandise and packaging to sell in her shop. On the last day, the sidewalk sale will be held to sell the created goods.
