No License, Car Broken Into: Western Springs Blotter

The following information is from the Western Springs Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Sept. 21

• Candyce Kowalski, 19, of La Grange Highlands, was arrested at 9:51 p.m. for no valid driver's license after a traffic stop for no rear registration light.

Sept. 26

• An unknown person broke the passenger side window of their car and removed a brown and beige purse from the front seat at 6:41 p.m. at Spring Rock Park.
• A resident was contacted by someone claiming to be from the Social Security Administration and said their social security number was compromised. There was no loss reported.
