No One Injured In Fire At Home In Western Springs

A fire that damaged part of a home on Sunset Terrace is considered an accident.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — Several fire departments responded to a fire at a home in Western Springs on Tuesday. A "full still" alarm was reported at 5:50 p.m. at a home in the 1400 block of Sunset Terrace.

Firefighters who responded saw smoke when they arrived and found a fire in the back of the home on the first floor. It was quickly brought under control by firefighters who used a hose line, according to a statement from the Western Springs Department of Fire and EMS.

The damage was contained to the first floor. No one was injured.

A preliminary investigation by the MABAS 10 Fire Investigation Team indicates the fire was an accident.
