Old Town North Gas Restoration Project Begins

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL - Nicor will begin restoration work for Old Town North and other portions of the community that received gas service upgrades during the fall of 2016.

The village said restoration is expected to continue through May.

Parkway restoration work will include sod or seed mats in locations with low sunlight or high foot traffic. Landscapers from Nicor will water the sod for two weeks, and then residents can continue watering.

Restoration of street and sidewalk patches will also occur. In the Central Business District, restoration work may take place prior to 7 a.m. to minimize conflicts with the downtown businesses. Nicor will notify businesses where restoration is to take place.
