Photo Gallery: Matrix's "Journey of Original Movement"

Shots captured from the troupe's intimate and informal JOOM performance.

Around 80 people showed up to the Grand Avenue Gym in Western Springs to witness JOOM, a Journey Of Original Movement. The production was put on by Matrix, a dance improv group that is headed by Corey Nagel. Matrix has been around since 1994, and has performed at Dance Chicago.

There were 12 acts in all during the performance; KlossWerk, Badagadagadaga, Silentium, The Voice In My Head, Out On A Whim, Oh, Woe Is Me, B Suite, Hands, Pompous Roumpous, Gone, But Not Forgotten, Embrace The Mayhem, and Eri Panna.

Dance Matrix's roster is as follows: Lauren Carlson, Sasha Palmer, Brigid Greska, Olivia Smaniotto, Kelsey kelliher, Elise Timmerman, Nadine Lafeber, Jennifer Vaile, Claire Mattingly and Kate Younkin.
