Western Springs Police investigate possible arsons.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL - Another house fire was reported inside a vacant home on March 30. On March 29, a house fire was reported in another vacant residence nearby.

Western Springs Police, Fire and EMS received a call to a house inside a vacant residence in the 4900 block of Woodland Avenue at 5:44 p.m. March 30.

When the fire department arrived, firefighters could see smoke showing. The alarm was elevated to a Full Still level, which requested additional assistance from La Grange, Hinsdale, Pleasantview, Clarendon Hills, Westmont, Oak Brook and La Grange fire departments.

Police said that investigators are currently determining the origin and cause of the fire. There were no reported injuries.

Investigators are treating this matter as a possible arson, and the fire that occurred March 29 at another vacant residence nearby is also being investigated as a possible arson as well.
