Porch Piracy, Burglary: Western Springs Police

Someone entered a house and stole two bottles of medication, police say.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — The Western Springs Police Department released its latest blotter, which included porch piracy and burglary cases. Here is the information from the reports:

  • Giovanni Bue, 25, of Cicero, was arrested shortly before noon Jan. 29 at Vie Restaurant, 4471 Lawn Ave., on charges of forgery and possession of a lost or mislaid property. He is accused of using someone else's credit card without permission.
  • Shaun Lucas, 41, of Oak Forest, was arrested about 10:30 p.m. Jan. 31 in the 3800 block of Wolf Road on charges of DUI, improper lane usage and driving on the sidewalk. He was arrested after being involved in a single-vehicle crash.
  • A package on the front porch of a house in the 5900 of Parkview Drive was removed about 5 p.m. Jan. 27. The package's value was estimated at $60.
  • Two packages on the front porch of a house in the 5900 block of Flagg Creek were removed about 8 p.m. Jan. 27. The packages were valued at less than $100.
  • A house in the 3800 block of Johnson Avenue was burglarized about 10:30 a.m. Jan. 29. Two bottles of medication were stolen.
