Criminal Damage to Property

A complainant in the 5400 block of Woodland Avenue reported that they located a broken electrical wire on the outside of their house at 5 p.m. on July 23.

Deceptive Practices

A complainant in the 4500 block of Wolf Road reported that they believed they received two fraudulent checks after posting some furniture on an online web site at 8:11 a.m. on July 26.

A complainant in the 4500 block of Franklin Avenue reported that they were the victim of an online check cashing scam. Their debit card was fraudulently used without their permission at 3:37 p.m. on July 26.

Reckless Conduct

Peter Guros, 18, of Bridgeview was charged with reckless conduct at 6:19 p.m. on July 14 in the 4700 block of Gilbert Avenue. Guros was arrested previously for theft and a charge of reckless conduct was added after further investigation.

Domestic Battery / Resisting Arrest

Two people - Raymond Topps, 41 and Alise G. Topps, 39 - were arrested for domestic battery at 12:05 a.m. on July 19 in the 5400 block of Woodland Avenue. Raymond Topps faces additional charges of resisting arrest of a police officer, battery and aggravated assault to a policeman.
