See Video: Vandals In Western Springs
Western Springs police have been dealing with fence vandalism for a couple months.
WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — Western Springs police are seeking help in identifying suspects in cases of criminal damage. Several incidents have occurred in the 4200 block of Johnson Avenue. Video documents one of the incidents, in which one suspect, who is with another, tries to break a white fence. It happened Saturday.
Since Valentine's Day, Western Springs police have taken at least nine reports about damage to fences. According to these reports, suspects have damaged sections of wooden or vinyl fences in several areas of town. The majority of these incidents occurred from 6:30 p.m. to midnight, police said in a report in early March. One of the incidents from that time can be seen on video on the police department's Facebook page.
