Man Fatally Stabs Father In Indian Head Park Murder-Suicide: Cops

Authorities say a man stabbed his father to death and injured his mother before taking his own life.

INDIAN HEAD PARK, IL — A senior citizen and his adult son are dead after a stabbing at an Indian Head Park home over the weekend that also wounded the suspected stabber's mother, authorities said. Multiple stabbing injuries are the cause of death for both Ronald J. Stasi, 75, and Phillip T. Stasi, 42, the Chicago Tribune's Doings publication reports. The report also states that the younger Stasi is accused of setting the house on fire.

Authorities say that Phillip Stasi stabbed both his father and mother before taking his own life, the report states.

The mother was also injured in the stabbing and told police that her son stabbed both her and her husband. The Doings also reported that the younger Stasi was charged in June with domestic battery after allegedly pushing his mother and pulling her down with her clothes.
