Styrofoam Recycling Event Held In Western Springs

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — The First Congregational Church of Western Springs will hold a styrofoam collection from 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday, June 11. The church said it is the perfect opportunity to recycle these products because they cannot be placed in the blue recycling bags.

According to a release, the products should be clean, and items like food trays, cups and restaurant clam shells should be in separate bags from block or packing type foam. Peanut-sized foam is not accepted.

For those who wish to recycle, you can bring your bags to the Light Court in the Education Building.

The church is located at 1106 Chestnut St.
