Theatre of Western Springs Hosts One-Man Star Wars Show

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL - Charles Ross will perform his "One-Man Star Wars Trilogy" for one night only at 8 p.m. Friday, May 5, at The Theatre of Western Springs (TWS), 4384 Hampton Ave.

The performance is a fundraiser for TWS, and the public is invited and welcome to dress in their favorite Star Wars garb. The show is appropriate for children age six and up to Yoda's age.

According to the theatre, Charles Ross condenses the 12 hours of cinematic magic that is Star Wars episodes IV, V and VI into an energetic 75-minute, intermission-less marathon.

“I honestly haven’t seen anything this funny in years,” said TWS Executive Artistic Director Eddie Sugarman in a release. “When I sat down and saw an audience member in a full Wookie costume, I knew that I was in for an intergalactic evening.”

The theatre said the show is the result of Charles Ross's "misspent youth" as a obsessive Star Wars fan. He plays all the characters with spot-on voice impressions, including 3CPO and R2D2. He sings the music, flies the ships, fights the battles and condenses three movies into one show.
