Theatre Of Western Springs Opens 89th Season With Musical Comedy
Performances will take place from Sept. 7-17 at the Theatre of Western Springs.
WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — The Theatre of Western Springs presents the first Mainstage play of its 89th season, “Nunsense,” written by Dan Goggin and directed by TWS Artist-in-Residence Greg Kolack. According to a release from the theatre, performances take place from Sept. 7-17, at TWS, 4384 Hampton Ave., Western Springs. The musical is suitable for all audiences.
The schedule is as follows:
• 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays – Sept. 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16
• 2:30 p.m. Sundays, Sept. 10, 17
• 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16
• 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10
According to the release, the show features star turns, tap and ballet dancing, an audience quiz, and comic surprises. Within its first 10 years, this show became the second-longest running Off-Broadway show
in history (after “The Fantasticks”). By the time it closed, it had become an international phenomenon translated into 26 languages with more than 8,000 productions worldwide.
