Underage Drinking, Stolen Bike: Western Springs Police

Two teenagers were charged with being minors in possession of alcohol.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — The Western Springs Police Department on Monday released its most recent blotter:

  • A 15-year-old boy was cited on charges of being a minor in possession of alcohol and being in violation of the curfew about midnight June 2 at Hillgrove and Hampton avenues.
  • A 17-year-old boy was cited on charges of being a minor in possession of alcohol about 10 p.m. May 24 in the 4900 block of Gilbert Avenue.
  • A portable radar trailer was damaged between 8 p.m. May 31 and 11 a.m. June 1 in the 400 block of Hillgrove Avenue. Someone attempted to open the trailer box.
  • An unlocked bicycle was reported stolen about 8 p.m. June 2 in the 700 block of 51st Street.
  • A fire started in a construction dumpster at 3 a.m. June 3 by a house in the 6000 block of Burr Oak Drive. Police listed the fire as an arson.
