Unlocked Car Stolen From Garage In Western Springs

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL - A car stolen in Western Springs last week was inside a garage, but left unlocked at the time. That's according to police, who say the report made in the 5000 block of Central Avenue was made at 1:11 a.m. on July 2.

Police across the nation have reminded car owners this summer to lock their vehicles due to an increased number of vehicle burglaries this time of year, although most of the car burglaries reported in the near west suburbs have been parked on streets or driveways.
