Western Springs Appoints New Deputy Police Chief

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL - Police Chief Brian Budds has announced the appointment of a new Deputy Police Chief. Daniel Albrecht has been officially named as the new Deputy Chief for the Western Springs Police Department.

The department said Albrecht will lead and supervise all daily administrative and functions of the police department.

Deputy Chief Albrecht has honorably served the Village for over 17 years and has held a variety of assignments including most recently as Sergeant in charge of the Investigations Division. Deputy Chief Albrecht is a graduate of Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command.

Deputy Chief Albrecht will be formally sworn in at the Village Board Meeting on Monday, May 8.
